Most important is the return policy.ONLY, when in hand, can a good judgement be made. IF there is no rub/friction on high points, uncleaned, good luster,as picture suggests, it looks IMO MS-63,you did "OK". Is a $500 coin if has any problems.

Raw "Blazers" like this one sell very well on EBAY.

My gram scales will tell me if it is real or not.
They weigh out to 1/10 of a gram.

This coin however looks to beautiful to be counterfeit.
The counterfeiters aren't good enough to make'um look like this coin!

This one had been posted for only a few hours before I scooped it up.

If I resell in 12 years from now on EBAY I should be able to at least double my money - maybe triple.

Boy that'll scare the BEPOOPERS out of him. :hahaha::hahaha::aetsch:

However: HE DID A GREAT job - period.

You don't learn if you don't DO.

I've got a LOT of MS62 graded $10 buckers that do NOT look that GOOD.

Bravo.......:clap2::clap2::wavey:

that's actually a coin my grandfather might have used and actually held in his hand !

on second thought that would be circulating coinage so VF at best. but still !

it's prettier than today's $10 bill. :553:

$10 would buy a heck of a lot in the 1910's - 1920's.

One month ago I got this raw 1899 "s" mint for $631.00 plus $6.00 shipping.

I got real lucky on the bidding as it should have cost me more. (long story)

This $10 Liberty has average luster and is a Beauty!

And yes I got it off EBAY.

I luv collecting $10 Liberties!

They are very affordable and they follow the price of gold.

Another keeper!

Thank You EBAY!

I had one that looked just as good as the one you just bought - perfect reverse and very few marks on the obverse - I swore it had to be mint state. Sent it to PCGS and it came back AU-58. I will be honest and say that I think you overpaid, Apmex has their AU or better $10 liberties for $631 right now, I would have gone that route.

If you get it graded, I would love to be proved wrong, a mint state coin like that would be very nice to have.

The first place they look for wear on $10 Libs is on the tip of the Eagle's left wing. Another place they look for wear is on the nose of Liberty herself.

There are other places they look...

1899 $10 gold liberty lists at $830 in MS-61 on Numismedia (my favorite online priceguide). your coin looks to be MS-62 or a little higher. So I would have to say you did well!
